I've been building PowerScope, a power-profiling extension for VS Code (coming soon). Instead of staring at a bare current trace and guessing, it gives you a ranked breakdown of where your power budget goes, and catches the one event that quietly drains a coin cell early (same theme as the brown-out post). It's not out yet, and I don't have a release date to share, but I wanted you to be among the first to know it's coming.

Seeed's New XIAO Board Runs on Nordic's nRF54LM20A

Seeed Studio XIAO nRF54LM20A and XIAO nRF54LM20A Sense are tiny USB-C IoT boards based on Nordic Semiconductor's nRF54LM20A wireless SoC offering Bluetooth 6.0, Matter, Thread, Zigbee, NFC, Amazon Sidewalk, and 2.4 GHz proprietary connectivity. Both variants come with on-chip 2 MB flash and 512 KB RAM, an 8 MB flash, an nPM1300 PMIC for power management, up to 28 GPIOs, and an RGB LED. The Sense model adds a digital microphone and 6-axis IMU with motion-triggered wake-up.

A Module With Six Wireless Radios On One M.2 Card

Simplia CONNECT RW612 is a 6-in-1 M.2 2230 wireless module that offers dual-band WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 LE, an 802.15.4 radio for Zigbee or Thread, LTE Cat-M, NB-IoT, and GNSS connectivity. As the site's author put it, "it's the first module I've seen that implements so many wireless standards into a tiny M.2 2230 module."

A Disposable Bluetooth Label for Tracking Cargo

Samsara has unveiled a disposable Bluetooth tracking label designed to provide near-real-time visibility of individual shipments, marking the company's latest expansion beyond fleet management into supply chain tracking. The paper-thin adhesive label, announced at Samsara's Beyond 2026 event, is designed to track boxes, pallets, and other shipments for up to 45 days without relying on GPS or cellular connectivity.

Infineon's First UWB Chip Combines Ranging and Sensing

Infineon Technologies today introduced the AIROC UWB TSL100, the company's first-generation ultra-wideband product family for precise positioning and smart presence detection. The product family marks the start of a scalable UWB platform intended to support future standards such as IEEE 802.15.4ab and is compliant with industry consortium standards such as CCC, Aliro, and FiRa. The TSL100 combines ranging and sensing capabilities in a single device, enabling applications such as secured vehicle access, access control, contactless payment, and indoor navigation.

Moto Tag 2 Finally Launches in the US

Motorola is finally bringing Moto Tag 2 to the US, and it's on sale for a limited time. Like the first-gen release, this remains the only Find Hub tracker that supports UWB for precision finding. New on Moto Tag 2 is a big boost to battery life, with Motorola promising "more than 500 days" from a single, user-replaceable CR2032 coin cell battery.
